A solar charger collects energy from solar panels and stores it in batteries. By constantly monitoring the voltage and current output of the solar panels, MPPT technology ensures that every drop of available energy is extracted from the panels and extracted for storage.

In adverse weather conditions, when the light is constantly changing, the MPPT 100/50 controller harvests energy with up to 30% more efficiency compared to PWM charge controllers and up to 10% more efficiency compared to the slowest MPPT controllers.

In partial shade conditions, two or more maximum power points can be present on the power-voltage curve. Conventional MPPTs tend to lock onto a local MPP, which may not be the optimal MPP. The innovative BlueSolar algorithm maximizes energy production by always adjusting to the optimal MPP.

Remotely control and monitor the extended functions of your BlueSolar MPPT charger by attaching a Bluetooth dongle and pairing it with your smartphone or other device via VictronConnect. If your installation is connected to the internet, you can access the full power of your MPPT charger anytime, anywhere via the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal; both services are free of charge.

The intelligent load output function prevents damage caused by discharged batteries. You can set the voltage at which BlueSolar switches off a load - thus preventing the batteries from being over-discharged. And here's the clever part: BlueSolar tries to charge the batteries to 100% every day. If this is not possible - for example, in bad weather - BlueSolar increases the cut-off voltage every day until it succeeds. We call this function BatteryLife because it maintains the health of the battery and extends its lifespan.
